Because all our products are digital files delivered instantly (VEGAS Pro templates, VEGAS Movie Studio templates, VEGAS Effects templates, and LUT colour grading presets), refund eligibility is subject to specific conditions described below.

2. Payment Processor — PayPal

All purchases on alestemple.net are processed by PayPal (including PayPal Checkout and Apple Pay via PayPal). This means:

  • PayPal collects your payment and handles all billing.
  • Refund requests are processed through PayPal.
  • PayPal has its own refund and chargeback policies as outlined in their User Agreement.

3. Refund Eligibility

We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of purchase. Refund requests may be approved in the following circumstances:

3.1 Valid Grounds for a Refund

  • Defective product: The downloaded file is corrupted, incomplete, or cannot be opened in the specified compatible software version.
  • Not as described: The product does not match the description, features, or compatibility information listed on the product page.
  • Duplicate purchase: You accidentally purchased the same product twice.
  • Technical issue: A verifiable technical problem prevents you from downloading or using the product, and we are unable to resolve it.

3.2 Situations Not Eligible for a Refund

  • Change of mind after downloading and accessing the product files.
  • Failure to check software compatibility requirements listed on the product page before purchasing.
  • Inability to use the product due to insufficient knowledge of the software (we provide usage instructions where applicable).
  • The product functions as described but does not meet your subjective expectations.
  • Claims made after the 14-day refund window has expired.

4. EU Right of Withdrawal — Digital Content Exception

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the European Union normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, Article 16(m) provides that this right does not apply to:

“The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium if the performance has begun with the consumer’s prior express consent and acknowledgement that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.”

By completing a purchase on our Website, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the download becomes available.

Despite this legal exception, we voluntarily offer the 14-day refund policy described in Section 3 above to ensure customer satisfaction.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

    • A clear description of the issue (with screenshots if possible)
    • Your software version and operating system
  3. We will review your request and respond within 3 business days.
  4. If approved, the refund will be initiated through PayPal. Processing time depends on your payment method and financial institution (typically 5–10 business days).

6. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks incur additional fees that affect small businesses. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly.

Please note that PayPal manages all chargeback disputes and may take independent action as outlined in their User Agreement.
